The GALVA Logo
The triangular shape of the GALVA logo represents the universal
nature of the three sexes or genders – male, female,
and hermaphrodite (the third sex). Its upright position
indicates a positive and spiritually focused perspective, especially
in regard to the third sex, which is positioned at top. The
pink color of the triangle represents love, affection, desire
and attraction, and the dot at the center of each side signifies
how all three genders are interrelated and fall along a spectrum.
Each gender is represented by the sign of its chief ruling
planet – Mars for male, Venus for female and Mercury for
the third sex. The yellow color and effulgence surrounding
the three genders stress their positive potential and spiritual
essence. At the center of the logo is the “thousand-petaled
lotus,” which represents the many different types of
men and women as well as the beauty of nature’s diversity. The
lotus arises from a calm, tranquil lake symbolizing the peaceful
mind and soul.
Resting upon the lotus is the sacred Hindu omkara that
is nondifferent from Sri Bhagavan, the Supreme Personality
of Godhead. It is the essence of all spiritual truth,
and its sound vibration spreads throughout the material and
spiritual skies.
In Bhagavad Gita, 9.17, Lord Krsna states: “I am the
father of this universe, the mother, the support and the grandsire. I
am the object of knowledge, the purifier and the syllable om.”
